About Abacus Minds

Our mission

Abacus Minds makes high-quality abacus education free and easy to access. Abacus classes can be expensive and hard to find. We wanted families and teachers anywhere to have a clear, structured course and the practice tools to go with it.

What we offer

• A structured course of twelve lessons, from the first bead to advanced mental calculation.
• An interactive virtual abacus, so no special equipment is needed to start.
• Unlimited practice, including Flash Anzan for mental maths training.
• Printable worksheets with answer keys for home and classroom use.

Our approach

Every lesson follows the same rhythm: learn the idea with clear diagrams, try it on the abacus, check it with a short quiz, then practise for speed. Short daily sessions work far better than long occasional ones, so every lesson takes 15–30 minutes.

For teachers

You are welcome to use our lessons and worksheets in class. The worksheet generator gives every sheet a number, so you can print a whole class set and the matching answer key.
